Greg Smith is best known for his iconic portrayal of Barry Burton in the original "Resident Evil 1” (or Biohazard as it was known in Japan).
In 1995, Greg was teaching in Tokyo where these live-action scenes for the game were filmed. From there, his performance as Barry Burton left a mark on fans, with many considering Greg to be the best Barry Burton yet.
With the gam’es popularity over a sustained period of time and the exerted influence on the video game industry, ‘Resident Evil 1’ has been inducted into the Gaming Hall of Fame. Although not the first horror-themed video game, ‘Resident Evil’ was the first game to popularise what game publishers called the “survival horror”.
