What is a Quiet Zone? 

A Sensory Quiet Zone is a designated area designed to provide a calm, quiet, and sensory-friendly environment. These zones help individuals who may be overwhelmed by sensory input that make it challenging to cope with noisy, bright, or crowded environments. The CapriCon Quiet Zone will provide a safe retreat for individuals who need a break from sensory overload, helping them to relax and recharge. 

In 2024,we have partnered with the Endeavour Foundation to bring the quiet zone to CapriCon. 

Where is the Quiet Zone?

The Quiet Zone is located in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. 

As you enter the Robert Schwarten Pavilion foyer, the Quiet Zone is located on the left hand side. Look for direction signs locating you to the Quiet Zone.

When is the Quiet Zone open?

In partnership with Endeavour Foundation the Quiet Zone will be facilitated from 9am - 5pm during CapriCon. Outside of these times, the area will be unsupervised. 

Can someone help me find the Quiet Zone? 

If you require assistance in this capacity, please don’t hesitate to speak to our helpful volunteers or event staff who will be able to direct you to the designated space.
