Accessibility at CapriCon: Everyone is Welcome!

At CapriCon, we’re dedicated to making our event a space where everyone can participate, enjoy, and feel included. We have implemented several features to ensure that all attendees, regardless of their abilities, have a great day out at CapriCon. Here’s how we’re making CapriCon more accessible in 2024:

Quiet Zone by Endeavour Foundation

We’re excited to partner with the Endeavour Foundation to provide a Quiet Zone at CapriCon. This area is in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion for attendees who may experience sensory overload. Our friendly team of volunteers and staff will be able to direct you to the designated space.

Free Entry for Companion Cardholders

Companion cards are accepted and provide free entry for carers with the purchase of a general admission ticket. Ensure you have your companion card available to show gate staff upon arrival.

Assistance Animals Welcome

We welcome all assistance animals at CapriCon. We want to ensure that both you and your assistance animals have a comfortable and enjoyable experience!

Wheelchair Access

All CapriCon event areas at the Rockhampton Showgrounds are wheelchair accessible, with ramps provided where necessary. Wheelchair designated viewing is also available in the front row at each stage.

Disabled Toilets

Accessible toilets are available throughout the Rockhampton Showgrounds. These facilities are designed with ample space and appropriate support features to ensure they meet the needs of all our attendees. Disables toilets are located in the James Lawrence Pavilion and the Robert Schwarten Pavilion.

Accessible Parking

We have designated accessible parking spaces within the Rockhampton Showgrounds. Signposted accessible parking is available in this area closest to the ticketing gate. These spaces are reserved for attendees with a valid disability parking permit.
