CapriCon has an impressive lineup of activities that will keep the entire family entertained. Whether you or the kids are into superheroes, fantasy worlds, creative workshops, gaming or just love a fun day out, CapriCon has something to offer.

Face Painting Extravaganza!
Kickstart your day with a burst of colour and imagination at the Happy Faces Face Painting booth next to the Rotunda. Your kids can transform into their favourite characters, animals, or superheroes.
Dive into Virtual Reality Gaming
All day long, kids of all ages can experience the thrill of immersive gaming. Don’t’ worry, we will still have plenty of action for the younger ones with Just Dance, Guitar Hero, and Smash Bros! Note – some games including VR and Halo is MA15+ after 5:00 pm.
CapriCon After Party
As the sun sets, the CapriCon all-ages After Party kicks off! Get ready to test your knowledge with Music Bingo—a fun, all-ages game that’s sure to get you tapping your feet and humming along. But the fun doesn’t stop there! Show off your inner performer in the Lip Sync Battle or belt out your favourite tunes during Pop Culture Karaoke.
Neverland Drop In Craft Zone
Maggie Moo Music Rockhampton is conjuring up enchanting experiences for all ages in the Kids Zone. Unleash your creativity in Neverland!
Crafting enthusiasts of all ages can let their imaginations soar with free drop-in craft stations making a Dreamcatcher, Fairy or Pirate Lantern, a pirate hook, or join us for some Skull Cove Messy Play.

Light Saber Workshops by the Sons of Obiwan Saber Academy

Unleash Your Inner Architect in the LEGO Competition
Calling all LEGO enthusiasts! It's time to showcase your creativity in the CapriCon LEGO Competition. Build your favourite movie scenes on a LEGO baseplate and stand a chance to win fantastic prizes. Age categories ensure that everyone, from the youngest builders to the seasoned creators, can participate. Entries must be delivered by COB Wednesday 28 August to the Rockhampton Showgrounds Admin Office - find out more here.
Cosplay Parade for the Little Heroes and Heroines
For the budding cosplayers, the Cosplay Parade offers a chance to shine. Kids aged 0-12 can don their favourite costumes and join a lively parade of imagination and creativity. It's not about who wins—it's about embracing the fun and receiving recognition for your efforts.
No registration necessary, just arrive at the Panel Stage in the Walter Pierce Pavilion at 9.30am ready for the parade to commence at 9.45am.
Meetups and Making New Friends
Meetups are the place to be for like-minded fans. Whether you're an anime fan, a gaming guru, a superhero enthusiast, or anything in between, there's a meetup for you. Share your passion, swap tips, and commemorate the moment with a group photo. Check the program for meet up times.
Dodgebow: Archery Meets Adventure
Experience the thrill of combat archery with Dodgebow! Suitable for ages 10 and up, Dodgebow combines the excitement of paintball with the precision of archery. Challenge friends and family to epic battles and see who emerges victorious.
Animal Therapy with Eden Bann Cuties
Eden Bann Cuties, the local petting zoo, offers an accessible space to interact with adorable farm animals. Pat, feed, brush, and hold these furry friends for a dose of relaxation and joy.
Carnival Rides and Amusement
Take a break from the action-packed schedule and enjoy classic carnival rides like the Spyro Teacups, Mechanical Bull, Scooby Inflatable, Sideshow Alley and simulators.
Retail and Artist Avenue
Don’t miss out on the Retail and Artist Avenue in the Robert Schwarten Pavilion. Here, you can explore a diverse selection of unique merch from your favourite pop culture retail stores and discover captivating works from talented authors. Whether you’re hunting for exclusive collectibles or looking to get an autograph from your favourite actors and cosplay guests, this area is the perfect place to indulge in some retail therapy and meet your heroes!
